Ripped from the wall and torn in two by vandals, this WWI commemorative plaque was brought to us with little hope. After painstaking detailing with the pattern, we were able to reproduce the plaque using the same techniques deployed in 1919. It now again stands proud in its original location.

Continuing the military theme, these aluminium poppies were the brainchild of Director Stuart Duffy and his desire to honour Britain’s military servicemen and women. Produced using heritage techniques, these metal poppies will endure as long as the memories for those they honour.

As metalworkers & restorers, we’re often thankful for the Victorians’ love of cast metal. Restoring or reproducing original railings is done frequently here, and we hold a large number of existing patterns from finials, to panels to intricate posts.

At Alnwick Castle, we were commissioned to reproduce 12 lead guttering brackets that had fallen into disrepair. Using one of the existing pieces as our pattern, we were able to cast reproductions that blend seamlessly in with the originals.
